These badges are categorized by two features: the base fabric is a square or rectangle piece of printed Heavyweight or Depression Broadcloth and all have a raw or cut edge. These badges vary in size. Unused badges can be 3” x 3”, 2” x 3”, 2” x 2” and many other size variants. By the mid 20s the size had standardized to approximately 2” x 2”. The official color of the base material for the badges is “Khaki”; however, these badges range in color from a tan to a green do to the color specification limits given to the fabric mill by the BSA.
