Tan Heavyweight Cloth with Silk Embroidery and Printed Back 1936 - 37
These badges are categorized by four features: 1 7/16 inch diameter, a folded under crimp, PRINTED starch back. These badges are die cut to 1 7/8 inches. Then they are circle crimped to an outside diameter of 1 7/16 inches. The crimp was machine done with steam thus creating a hard crimp that when unfolded shows a distinct ring in the broadcloth. Scouts would cut and fold square badges and wide crimps to make them look like narrow crimps; however if the badge does not have all three features it is NOT a narrow crimp C1.
