Tan Heavyweight Cloth with Silk Embroidery and Plain Back 1937 - 38
These badges are categorized by three features: 1: 7/16 inch diameter 2: A folded under crimp 3: PLAIN starched back. These badges are die cut to 1 7/8 inches. Next they are circle crimped to an outside diameter of 1 7/16 inches. The crimp was machine done with steam thus creating a hard crimp that when unfolded shows a distinct ring in the broadcloth.
Scouts would cut and fold square badges and wide crimps to make them look like narrow crimps; however if the badge does not have all three features it is NOT a narrow crimp C2.
